Acting swiftly, Nawada Police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT), which, with the support of Haryana Police and UP STF, arrested five accused from Faridabad and recovered the victim’s mobile phone.

The Kidnapping and Ransom Demand

On August 20, 2025, police received information that Suraj Kumar, son of Pawan Singh and resident of Fatha village under Warisaliganj police station, had been abducted by unidentified criminals. Shortly after the kidnapping, ransom calls were made using the victim’s mobile phone.
